September 1, 2003 Labor Day!  No work today.
September 3, 2003 Woodinville Truss delivers custom pre-manufactured roof trusses for both homes.  Fred Olsen and his crew returns to assist with the installation of the trusses on the north house.
September 4, 2003 Brian and his crew complete installation of roof trusses on the south house, and spend Friday installing the roof sheeting.  Well on schedule at this point, they even had time for some crew photos.
September 8, 2003 A lot of activity for a Monday!  Stoneway Roofing delivered roofing materials in preparation for arrival of the roofing crew.  The next delivery was from Milgard Windows with the custom made windows for both homes.

The Honey Bucket people made their weekly visit.  A load of gravel was delivered to cover the floor of each garage prior to the concrete work, and Ron got the job of spreading gravel and digging two large holes to connect the water service for each house.

September 10, 2003 The four person roofing crew installed the roofs for both homes in ONE day!  They are an amazing group of folks to watch. They appear very much at ease as they work right at the edge of a two story roof in a light drizzle!  They will return later to complete the porch roof on the south house.

Different colors of roofing material were selected to make each of the homes more unique.  Ron installed the steel re-bar for the garage floor concrete work, and the team installed quite a few of the new windows in the south house.  Brian got a much deserved day off to play in a golf tournament.

September 11, 2003 The concrete workers poured the floors for both garages, while the Upright team spent most of the day working on installing windows in both homes and completing the covered porch on the south home. Tom and Ward from Paris Plumbing began the plumbing work on the north home.

After a record breaking warmer than normal Seattle summer (61 consecutive days above 70 degrees),  Thursday was the first truly rainy day on the job.  Bring out the raincoats!  Fall is almost here.

September 25, 2003 Lots of activity since the last update.  Ward and Tom from Paris Plumbing have almost completed the plumbing for both homes.  They still have several days of work left, and will return to install the fixtures after the drywall is installed.

The siding crew has been on site for a couple of days and is working on both homes concurrently.  They will likely be done in a few days.  Oscar, one of the neighborhood cats, keeps a watch when no one is around.

September 26, 2003 The siding crew continues to make good progress.  A large dumpster was delivered for collecting construction debris.  Ward ended up working solo Friday, and the HVAC folks continued installation of the ductwork.
September 29, 2003 Siding is complete on the north home except for the area under the covered porch which will be completed later.  Siding work continues on the south home.   Brian and Ron spent the day working on additional interior framing.  The mechanical crew continued work on the HVAC systems.
